Hello, is it an ADELE cover you’re looking for? The British belter is currently continuing her bid for world domination with her latest single ‘Hello’ and that was closely followed by a chirpy little cover by The Maccabees for Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Another distinctly different cover came from Brooklyn-based three-piece Wet, who have delved deeper into the ADELE back catalogue to put their own spin on her first single ‘Chasing Pavements.’

The band put the cover together the cover while they were on the road in Europe and America and, as you might expect from the group, it’s a slickly-produced slice of minimal R’n’B. With enough wobbly synths to shake a stick at. They take ADELE’s first single and, while keeping the sweet vocals intact, chop and skew almost every other element, making it their own.

Listen to Wet’s version of ‘Chasing Pavements’ below.
