It’s been a big year for Reading four-piece Sundara Karma. In the space of twelve months they’ve managed to build up a strong fanbase on the foundation of sparkling indie rock with an intelligent synth edge and a penchant for grandeur, while also releasing two EPs.

So yeah, maybe they’re teetering on not really being ‘undiscovered’ anymore. But we can bend the rules just a tiny bit and give them a bit of a send off this atmospheric and brooding romp with fellow Undiscovered graduate Marika Hackman, can’t we?

The track is quite far out of folk songstress Hackman’s jurisdiction but her silky tones give ‘Prisons To Purify’ an added dimension alongside the arpeggiated synths and a clashing drum beat.

The track is taken from EP II, and you can listen below.
