It’s only been a few days since Wet shared their version of ADELE’s first single ‘Chasing Pavements,’ but they haven’t just been having some fun messing with the London superstar’s work. Instead, they’ve actually been pretty busy putting together a debut album that’ll hopefully be out towards the beginning of 2016. To tide us over until the release of their first full-length LP, the New York trio have shared a new cut, ‘It’s All In Vain.’
Like much of Wet’s work, it’s an R’n’B slow-burner that feels inspired by some of the best divas in the business (think Mariah Carey and Beyoncé at their most emotional and powerful). ‘It’s All In Vain’ combines that vocal breathiness and intensity with melancholic piano and some beautifully understated beats into what could be one of their best tracks yet. The band say it’s one of their favourite tracks and it’s not hard to understand why.
