Well here’s a strange little bit of deja vu. Upon first seeing the title of this track by New Zealand shoegazers Yuuca, you might be forgiven for thinking that they’ve just slightly rebranded their latest single (perhaps going for what Arcade Fire were aiming for with ‘Sprawl II’).

But don’t be fooled! ‘Melt II’ is just the B-Side to ‘Melt’ (keeping up?) which follows hot on the fuzzy heels of the single by creating a swooning landscape of blissed-out guitars and sensitive vocals. It’s like all the best bits they just couldn’t possibly fit into the single proper.
