And now it’s time for Maths Corner with Notes On Sounds. The Earth, roughly, has a radius of 6,371km. So its diameter is 12,742km. More startlingly, it has a surface area of 510,072,000km squared. We won’t bore you with the details of how our brilliant mathematic minds came to figure out the surface area of our giant space sphere (*cough* Wikipedia *cough*) but I think it’s fair to say that the world is pretty damn big. So we think that on their latest track, Manchester’s The Foetals are probably being metaphorical.
Their latest single ‘The World Isn’t That Big’ is a step down nostalgia lane with a bit of mournful brass and intelligent, thoughtful lyrics that give it a bit of a wistful twist. It’s taken from the debut album Meet the Foetals, and all the proceeds from the album will be going to Cancer Research UK after mastermind Jolan Lewis was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the year. Give generously.
Listen to ‘The World Isn’t That Big’ below. Meet the Foetals is out on 4th December via PNKSLM.
