News… Honeys Dream Tapes Shares Debut Song ‘I’d Do You’

Okay, okay, let’s address the elephant in the room here. We say this is Brighton-based outfit Honeys Dream Tapes’ debut “song” but really what we mean is “demo.” That’s right. This slice of lo-fi wonderment, the only track that the group have to their name so far… is a demo. Cue the dun-dun-DUN! It means we don’t know a lot about the outfit other than where they’re from.

So we should probably focus on the music, right? Right. Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Bart and a fly had their DNA mixed together by one of Dr. Frink’s inventions? Imagine if that happened to Frankie Valli and Pixies. You’d probably end up with this saucy little number, that flirts with doo-wop yet has all the fuzziness of lo-fi and grunge mixed in there. And it’s much, much better than it actually sounds on paper.
