As winter sets in more and more, the nights become longer and you start noticing the chill in the air, dark folk from the likes of London singer-songwriter Bryde is the perfect soundtrack. Her debt single ‘Wait’ is a haunting mix of country-inspired electric guitars and moments of lyrical silence that straddle the line between jittery and tender.
Bryde talked to The Line of Best Fit about the relationship between the cover art and her music: “The cover shot was just a little snap shot taken at home for Instagram but it came to symbolise the music. Everyone thinks it is a tin of black paint when actually it’s a shallow tin of shoe polish. That deception is exactly the kind of relationship I want these songs convey.”
