Samuel T. Herring and William Cashion of Future Islands have a side-project called The Snails, a strange ensemble that released an EP two years ago called Worth The Wait aaaaand we’ve been waiting since then for new music. Their Christmas tune ‘Snails Christmas (I Want A New Shell)’ isn’t exactly new per se (it featured on a 2013 compilation called Baltimas!!!!! otherwise known as the world’s most excitable festive compilation) but they have re-recorded the track and given it a bit of a new sheen. And it’s got a lot of jingle bells. Lots and lots of jingle bells. What more do you want in your Christmas songs?
