Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas! For 12 days up to and including Christmas Eve we’re sharing some tunes that’ll be helping you to get into the festive spirit and ranges from everything from pop to R&B, rap to punk rock. Enjoy!

Listening back to some of The Ramones’ greatest hits, it’s difficult not to think that some of them have a distinctly… festive vibe. Yeah they’re filled with scuzzy simplicity but is it just us or are there an awful lot of jingle bells present in their records? Clearly one day they decided just to embrace the concept wholeheartedly and go all out with a proper Christmas tune.

And so, many years down the line, we’re sitting listening to a cover version of ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)’ by Scottish alt rockers Pinact. It stays pretty faithful to the original but with a tinge of the early 90s rock vibe that the trio embraced so much on their debut album Stand Still and Rot. Remember that Christmas is a time for caring, not fighting, and have a harmonious holiday with Pinact.
