Last year, when they released their single ‘That Certain Flavour’ and the accompanying EP Pleasant Pain, we made a prediction of our own for indie quartet Pinemen: that they’d be on to bigger things in 2016. Well, only a couple of months into the New Year and we’ve got a brand new tune from the quartet.

‘Predictions’ sees the Pinemen in no less of a feral mood than ever, as they make their way through a scuzzy, heat-laden haze of distorted guitars and echoed vocals while still managing to keep things light and airy. We don’t know how that’s possible, but it is. It’s infectious, just a little bit unstable and means that our own predictions for the band might well be coming true.
