New Zealand’s reigning queen of Goth pop So Below returns with the delightfully dark ‘Far’ and with it she brings this stunning visual. Shot exclusively for the track and directed by Sam Kristofski (Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Kirin J Callinan), the short film captures the mystical mood of the track perfectly.
The follow up to previous singles ‘Drift’, ‘Sleep’ and ‘Luna’, ‘Far’ is another slab of menacing mechanical electro-heaven. Packed full of stonking big sinister beats and doused in thick sweeps of murky synths, ‘Far’ growls with a hypnotic swagger and bursts with an undeniably catchy Gothic edge. It’s stumbling gloriously out of the neon drenched nightclub at the end of the night – walls dripping with regret and sambuca.
Something tells you you should stay away, but man, you just can’t resist that beat.
The track forms part of her brand new EP which is out now on all digital retailers and streaming services, featuring the current single ‘Far‘ and the debut single that started it all, ‘Drift‘.
